About the story:

“There’s only so much land. Only so much in the land.”

Ruth and Lip have spent their entire lives connected to Juniper Rise, a farm in North-West Oxfordshire. Over the years, they’ve witnessed the land transform from a traditional mixed farm to a fully arable one. But when Ruth’s ex-stepdaughter Milly and her friend Femi arrive, their idyllic existence is jolted into turmoil. As ideas clash and conventions are questioned, Ruth and Lip are forced to reconsider their relationship with the land – and with each other.

This gripping world premiere by Olivier Award-winning playwright Mike Bartlett (Doctor Foster, King Charles III) explores the intersection of family, nature, and the consequences of extreme environmentalism. Directed by James Macdonald (Waiting for Godot, Roots) and designed by Olivier Award-winning designer ULTZ (Jerusalem, Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom), Juniper Blood raises urgent questions about land, legacy, and the limits of human impact on the earth.

The cast includes Terique Jarrett, Hattie Morahan, Nadia Parkes, Jonathan Slinger, and Sam Troughton.
