About the story:

Poet, soldier and philosopher, Cyrano de Bergerac is a man of brilliance and conviction, living boldly by both word and sword. Yet beneath his confidence lies a quiet insecurity that keeps him from declaring his love for Roxane.

When the handsome but inarticulate Christian captures Roxane’s attention, Cyrano lends him his voice, speaking the words of love he cannot claim as his own. What follows is a story of longing, sacrifice and the courage it takes to be truly seen.

Following a sold-out run with the Royal Shakespeare Company, this critically acclaimed production stars Olivier Award-winner Adrian Lester as Cyrano and Susannah Fielding as Roxane. Directed by Simon Evans, this reimagining of Edmond Rostand’s classic blends lyricism, humour and heart in equal measure.
