About the story:

From writer Chloe Moss and director Felix Barrett comes a gripping, real-time thriller set inside a 999 call centre. 

The Guilty follows a disgraced police officer working the night shift when he receives a distressing call from a woman he believes has been kidnapped. As he attempts to orchestrate a rescue from behind his desk, the narrative unfolds minute by minute in a tense, immediate and utterly absorbing fashion. 

But as the truth slowly emerges, the case proves far more complex than first imagined. What appears to be an abduction reveals itself as a devastating mental health crisis, forcing the officer to confront his own unresolved guilt and the consequences of past misconduct. 

Starring Russell Tovey, this taut psychological drama places audiences at the centre of a story about perception, responsibility and redemption.
