Royal Academy Summer Exhibition 2026

The Royal Academy's Summer Exhibition returns for 2026, the UK's best-loved open art show, held annually without interruption since 1769. This summer, pair your visit with a fresh Mediterranean lunch at Whitcomb's,
just a 10-minute walk away on Leicester Square.

The Londoner is one of the Royal Academy of Arts’ Hotel Partners and this summer, we're delighted to include exhibition tickets with your à la carte lunch at Whitcomb's.

Book a table from our à la carte menu and your ticket to the Summer Exhibition is included. A £20 deposit per person is required at the time of booking and will be deducted from your final bill. Your tickets will be given to you on the day.

About the exhibition:

Held at Burlington House, Piccadilly, London since 1769, the Summer Exhibition is the world's longest-running open submission exhibition. Each year, the show brings together a diverse array of contemporary works for sale — from prints and paintings to film, photography, sculpture and architecture — celebrating both established names and rising talent, selected and hung by Royal Academicians.

Works are available to purchase, making it as much a celebration of accessible art collecting as it is of contemporary creativity.

Lunch: Monday – Friday: 12pm – 2:30pm

Dinner: Monday - Friday: 5pm - 10pm

All Day Dining: Saturday & Sunday: 12:30pm - 10pm

Royal Academy of Arts:
Monday: Closed

Tuesday - Sunday: 10am - 6pm

Friday: 10am - 9pm
