Marilyn Monroe: A Portrait

In celebration of the Hollywood star’s 100th birthday and in association with the Marilyn Monroe estate, Marilyn Monroe: A Portrait invites audiences to explore the life, career and legacy of Marilyn Monroe through portraits created by some of the greatest photographers and artists of the 20th and 21st centuries.

The Londoner is the hotel partner of the National Portrait Gallery and this summer, we're making it easy to pair a visit to Marilyn Monroe: A Portrait with a fresh Mediterranean lunch in Whitcomb’s, just a few minutes' walk away on Leicester Square.

Book a table from our à la carte menu and your exhibition ticket to Marilyn Monroe: A Portrait is included. A £20 deposit per person is required at the time of booking and will be deducted from your final bill. Tickets will be sent to you by email ahead of your visit.

About the exhibition

More than a visual tribute, the exhibition offers a rare glimpse into Monroe’s inner world through a selection of personal belongings, including her books, scripts, and clothing, items that shed light on the woman behind the carefully crafted public image.

Visitors will encounter works by Andy Warhol, Pauline Boty, Marlene Dumas, James Gill, and many more, alongside photographs by Cecil Beaton, Philippe Halsman, Eve Arnold, André de Dienes, Milton Greene, Richard Avedon, and George Barris.
