Whitcomb's Early Sitting
New Year's Eve doesn't have to run past midnight to count, and Whitcomb's early sitting gets dinner out of the way before heading out to see the rest of the night elsewhere. Choose from seafood snacks or jamón ibérico croquettes to start, a chargrilled lamb skewer or Tuscan baked cod to follow, and a warm tarte Tatin to finish. Four courses run from 5pm, last reservations at 6.30pm, £130 per person with a glass of Veuve Clicquot Brut.
Whitcomb's Late Sitting
There's nowhere better to watch the year turn than at the table on Whitcomb's late sitting, live entertainment carrying the room through to midnight and a toast that comes twice, once on arrival and again as the clock strikes twelve. Choose from seafood snacks or bruschetta stracciatella to start, a filet mignon and lobster tail or crispy skinned sea bass to follow, a selection of French cheese, and dessert to close out the year. Seatings run from 8pm, last reservations at 9.30pm, £195 per person with a glass of Veuve Clicquot Brut.

Early Sitting
For those who'd rather watch midnight happen from somewhere else, 8's early sitting is dinner with the city already lit up below, robata skewers, A5 Wagyu and maki rolls carrying the same spirit as any other night at 8. There's no need to commit to a full dinner either, a table for cocktails works just as well before heading out for the rest of the evening. Reservations run from 5pm to 6.30pm.
Late Sitting
There's nothing quite like New Year's Eve on a London rooftop, and 8 keeps it simple with a table reservation, drinks and food ordered on the night as the countdown builds. For something more, the exclusive private booth hands the rooftop over entirely in the name of decadence, a stunning setting with Belvedere Magnums and an Armand de Brignac Brut Gold Jeroboam on ice, signature small plates included for tables of up to eight or fourteen guests. Reservations run from 8.30pm to 10pm.
