The Londoner's Art Collection

Art at The Londoner

Art runs through every floor of The Londoner, and rarely where you expect it. More than 50 paintings, sculptures, murals, and details are woven through the hotel's 16 storeys in Leicester Square, from the glazed blue faience tiles on the exterior to the tiny artworks hidden within the lifts.

Some artworks are in our event spaces and might not be available to view if a private event is taking place. A selection of pieces can also be found in our guest bedrooms. Our reception team will be happy to advise on what you can see during your visit.

A stay at The Londoner means discovering something new at every turn, whether you're passing through the lobby, heading to dinner, or wandering the corridors at the end of the day. The collection brings together works by Tracey Emin, Antony Gormley, Tim Walker, Marc Quinn and Julian Opie with pieces commissioned especially for the hotel, and most of the artists call Britain home.

Journey from floor to floor and the mood keeps shifting: a flash of glamour, a moment of calm elegance, a burst of mischief you didn't see coming. Take a sneak peek at some of the weird and wonderful pieces you might meet along the way...

Dining Beneath the Hats at Whitcomb's

Settle in for a meal at Whitcomb's and dine beneath Shida Salehi's elegant yet commanding ceiling-hung sculpture. Designed especially for The Londoner, it depicts two women in hats, a nod to the neighbourhood’s millinery past.

A Dreamscape in The Residence

Step into The Residence and let Moonlight Serenade surround you. Hand-painted across the Drawing Room by New York duo En Viu, this whimsical dreamscape shows well-known corners of London through an otherworldly lens.

Portraits and Reflections in The Ballroom

Attend an event in The Ballroom and wander past some of the hotel's most striking portraits, from Marc Hom's Alexander McQueen to Tim Walker's The Widows of Culloden. Many works hang on tinted mirror, so take your time and you might find yourself a subject within the artwork.

And this is just the beginning. Explore our digital Art Guide, or pick up a copy from Reception, to discover the artists, the stories and the surprises behind The Londoner's collection.
