Renoir and Love at the National Gallery

Fall in love with Renoir and his Impressionist paintings at the National Gallery. 

Lunch & Culture

The Londoner is a hotel member of the National Gallery. This autumn, Whitcomb's makes it easy to pair a visit to Renoir and Love with an à la carte lunch, a short walk from Leicester Square. 

Book a table from the à la carte menu and your exhibition ticket to Renoir and Love is included. A £20 deposit per person is required at the time of booking and will be deducted from your final bill. Exhibition tickets will be sent by email ahead of your visit.

About the exhibition

Renoir and Love brings together 40 paintings from collections across the world, tracing the artist's gift for capturing love, friendship and everyday emotion. Couples waltzing in open air, lovers stealing a glance, families sharing a quiet moment, friends raising a glass — Renoir painted the full complexity of how people connect. 

The exhibition focuses on Renoir at his peak, from the 1860s to the 1880s, as he experimented with style and theme to become one of the defining voices of Impressionism. The dance halls and gardens of Paris come into view through the work of an artist unmatched in painting human warmth. 

Organised by the Musée d'Orsay, the National Gallery and the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston.

Whitcombs:
Lunch: Monday – Friday: 12pm – 2:30pm

Dinner: Monday - Friday: 5pm - 10pm
 

The National Gallery:
Open Daily: 10am - 7pm

Friday lates until: 9pm
